Saman de Silva (baritone), 16, hails from Los Altos Hills, California where he is in the eleventh grade at Henry M. Gunn High School. He studies music with Jace Wittig and Maya Grunina. Some of Saman’s proudest accomplishments include teaching his first Music Theory class for younger students, winning the regional NATS competition, and being accepted into the Boston University Tanglewood Institute’s Young Artist Vocal Program. Outside of music, Saman’s other great passion is astrophysics. When he’s not singing or exploring the cosmos, Saman enjoys theatre, fashion, video games, and environmental activism.
