Vanessa Meiling Haynes (piano), 15, is from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Vanessa studies music with Hung Kuan Chen and Tema Blackstone at the New England Conservatory Preparatory program. She was the second prize winner of the David D. Dubois Piano Competition which was judged by Christopher O’Riley. In addition to piano, she enjoys sports, including fencing, and cooking, baking, and music from movies.
