Meet Honor
Honor performs on Show 412.
Honor Frisco (violin), 16, hails from Palos Verdes Estates, California and currently studies with Phillip Levy. A pianist as well as a violinist, he studied both instruments at the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, where he served as concertmaster of the Colburn String Ensemble as well as concertmaster of the Palos Verdes School District Advanced Ensemble. Honor has received several awards, including First Place State Winner of the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) Contemporary Competition, Silver medalist in the Southern California Junior Bach Festival Complete Works Competition, First Place awards for both violin and piano in the open solo category of the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and Absolute First Prize in the Canadian International Music Competition for violin. Honor was chosen as a member of Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America and was selected to perform at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium in the American Protégé’s Summer Gala in 2022. In addition to his musical achievements, Honor excels in school and is a member of the French National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He also received The President’s Volunteer Service Award, Gold Level in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Outside of music, school, and volunteering, Honor enjoys reading, anime, and spending time with his three dachshunds.
