Ana Isabella España (violin), 14, hails from New York, New York, and is in the ninth grade at the Special Music School High School at Kaufman Music Center. She began her violin studies at the age of four at Opus 118’s Harlem School of Music with Lynelle K. Smith. One of her proudest moments was winning the Special Music School Concerto Competition and performing with orchestra at the Winner’s Concert at Merkin Hall. Outside of violin, Isabella enjoys skiing and surfing, playing ukulele and piano, and keeping up with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
