United We Serve – Call for Stories

The federal United We Serve initiative is a new movement to mobilize volunteerism across the country. For those of you who follow this blog regularly, you are well aware of the amazing  contributions that From the Top alumni make in their communities  everyday. A few examples of which are: Griffin Gaffney’s free music lesson program in Portland, OR; Caeli Smith’s efforts to raise money for the Academy of Community Music in Philadelphia; Patrick Maguire’s service trip to Africa; Alena Merimee’s volunteering in a burn unit; and of course many more.

United We Serve is soliciting stories of service, and we encourage all of you to submit your stories and demonstrate how sharing your music uplifts and inspires others.
