Meet the 2016 From the Top Gala performers
On May 16, fans of From the Top will gather at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts for the 2016 From the Top gala, raising funds to support our arts education, media, and outreach programs. We pride ourselves on throwing a pretty incredible party, with astonishing live music, wonderful food, and one of the best views in Greater Boston.
If you are in the area and interested in attending, you can reserve your tickets here.
But, if you’re one of our many fans who don’t live within shouting distance of Boston, we have a special treat for you. We’d like you to meet the performers, all From the Top alumni, who will be entertaining our guests that night. Click the links below and you can see them in videos or listen to their radio show performances:
- An adorable trio of young pianists, who have been seen by millions of fans in our viral Star Wars video
- A violinist and a pianist, both teenagers who recently appeared on From the Top Show #317: after their radio recording, they visited 4 Louisville-area schools to share music with more than 350 local band and orchestra students.
- A 12-year-old cellist, who rocked out with classical superstars Time for Three, in another viral video hit, filmed on the Greenway in Boston
- A classical saxophone player with a remarkable story of how From the Top changed his life.
If you would like to make a gift to our Virtual Gala fundraising moment, just click here and make a gift before 6pm on May 16. Your gift will be matched by a generous anonymous donor. Thank you for your support.
From the Top is an independent non-profit organization. Though our radio show is distributed by NPR, we are not an NPR organization, and we raise more than 80% of our budget from supporters like you.
