What is #GivingTuesday?

We all know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday…#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving.

On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, From the Top has hit our $1,000 goal before December 1! We are now taking our #GivingTuesday campaign to the next level.

Help us raise $1,000 $2,000 by the end of December 1!

Since we hit our original goal, everyone who donates through our special #GivingTuesday page, will receive an exclusive download of music performed by one of the outstanding musicians featured on our NPR radio show.

So, how can you help? We’re so glad you asked! Here are three easy ways:

  1. Give: No need to wait until Tuesday! Give today and help us reach our $2,000 goal.
  2. Pledge: Take an #unselfie with your pledge to share or give on #GivingTuesday. Use the hashtag #FTTGive so we can find you! Here’s a template to download.
  3. Share: Activate your social networks by sharing your From the Top story and including the #GivingTuesday and #FTTGive hashtags. The more you share, the closer we’ll get to our goal.

Thanks from all of us at From the Top.

PS: You might be asking yourself “Why do I need to support From the Top when I already support my local NPR station?” That’s another great question!

From the Top is an independent non-profit, which means that, while we have a great partnership with NPR, we raise more than 80% of our budget through donations from individuals and organizations. So, your support is vital to helping us achieve our mission.
