Meet Purple Hippopotami Quartet

The Purple Hippopotami Quartet appeared on From the Top’s “Blanket Fort Show” airing the week of April 27, 2020.

The Purple Hippopotami Quartet from Chicago, Illinois consists of flutists: Natalia Kozintseva (flute), 17, from Whitney M Young Magnet High School Chicago; Katherine Chen (flute), 15,  Whitney M Young Magnet High School Chicago; Nina Touboul, 16, from the Chicago High School for the Arts; and Emma Krause, 18, from Downers Grove North High School. They are coached by Elizabeth Ko at the Merit School of Music. They were 3rd place winners at Junior Winds Division of M-Prize Chamber Music Competition in 2018.
