Meet Amy

Amy performs in the AhHa Duo on Show 414.

Amy Baskurt (violin), 18, hails from New York, New York and attends the United Nations International School. She is a student of Dr. Ann Setzer at the Juilliard Pre-College Division in New York City. Amy’s musical endeavors cover the span of solo, chamber, and orchestral playing. She performs with the Camerata Strings ensemble at the United Nations International School and plays with the United Nations Chamber Music Society. Amy has won numerous awards, and her projects have given her opportunities to perform in famed performance venues, including Carnegie Hall, The UN General Assembly Hall, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington National Cathedral, Lisner Auditorium, and the Lincoln Memorial. When not concentrating on music Amy enjoys Model United Nations and speaks French fluently.

Amy and guitarist Heather Wang form the AhHa Duo. The duo partners are the creators and hosts of the podcast The Whole Note: Voices of Chamber which explores how culture and diversity impact chamber groups and about the role of resilience in their lives.
