Hiding in the Spotlight

Zhanna Arshanskaya attended From the Top's Atlanta broadcast taping. Her story is told in "Hiding in the Spotlight"

On this week’s broadcast, Atlanta audience member Zhanna Arshanskaya dedicates a piece to Christopher O’Riley, whom she calls “the ambassador of music  for young people.” But it’s Zhanna’s story that we find truly moving.

A holocaust survivor, Zhanna endured through her ability to play music. Following the war, she eventually went on to attend the Juilliard School and teach piano at Indiana University. Her son, Greg Dawson, has written her story in the book Hiding in the Spotlight.
