Meet Jordan
Jordan performs on Show 430.
Jordan Manasse (Piano), 16, hails from New York, New York. He is in the Honors Piano Program at The Mannes Preparatory School and studies piano with Marina Obukovsky. Jordan is also a drama major at the Laguardia High School for the Performing Arts. He has won the Steinway Junior Competition, the International Piano Competition, the Music Teachers Association Competition, and the Sound Symphony Competition. He has performed at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, St. Stephens Church, and the Metropolitan Opera House. As part of the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus, Jordan sang in productions of Carmen, La Boheme, Parsifal, Hansel and Gretel, and Mefistofle. This summer he won a place at the prestigious Tanglewood High School Summer Institute. He most recently performed in a master class with Amy Yang of the Curtis Institute. He has been a featured soloist and integral part of the outreach program at the Saint Barts Music Festival since he was ten years old. Outside of music, Jordan loves playing sports, cooking, and taking walks in the park with his dog.
