Meet Emilia
EMILIA DEJESUS began playing piano at the age of seven, inspired by the music played in her ballet classes at the Boston Ballet School. She studies piano with Angel Ramón Rivera at The Rivers School Conservatory and The New England Conservatory Preparatory School. Emilia has enjoyed giving numerous piano performances in the Boston area over the past seven years, in addition to a solo concert in New York City at Steinway Hall in January 2013. She is a winner of The Rivers School Conservatory 2013 Concerto Competition and played as a soloist with the Rivers Symphony Orchestra at Jordan Hall in Boston in February 2014. In May 2015, her chamber ensemble received an outstanding gold medal rating at the MICCA (Massachusetts Instrumental & Choral Conductors Association) Festival. She recently participated in the Bosa Antica Summer Music Festival in Italy where she performed as a soloist and in chamber ensembles.
Emilia attends The Rivers School and Conservatory in Weston, Massachusetts. She lives in Newton, Massachusetts with her parents and her two cats.
