This week, from New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall in Boston, our line-up of outstanding musicians includes an 18-year-old pianist performing Chopin, a teenage string quartet performing Beethoven, and renowned violinist Hilary Hahn will collaborate with young players who are just about the age she was when her amazing concert career took off.

Performers and repertoire:

Pianist Deborah Yeung, 18, from Honolulu, HI, a From the Top Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist performs Grande Polonaise Brillante, Op. 22 by Frédéric Chopin.

The Harlow Quartet – featuring Hillary Ditmars, 17, violin I, from Westford, MA, Jennifer Charness, 17, violin II, from Waban, MA, and brothers Paris Ellsworth, 16 viola and Jonah Ellsworth, 13, cello, from Cambridge, MA – performs “Allegro molto e con brio” from Grosse Fuge by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Guest Artist violinist Hilary Hahn performs II. Allegro from Sonata No. 3 by Charles Ives (1874-1954) with Christopher O’Riley, piano.

II. Andante un poco mosso from Piano Trio No. 1 in B-flat, Op. 99 by Franz Schubert (1797-1828) performed by Hilary Hahn, violin, Branson Yeast, 18, cello, from Houston, TX and Christopher O’Riley, piano.

III. Scherzo from Piano Quintet in A major, Op. 81 by Antonín Dvorák performed by Hilary Hahn, violin I, Hillary Ditmars, violin II, Paris Ellsworth, viola, Jonah Ellsworth, cello, and Christopher O’Riley, piano.
