About

This week’s show, from the El Paso Summer Music Festival in El Paso, Texas, is a celebration of our amazing partnership with the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, which has awarded more than one million dollars to young musicians with financial need. Among the talented Jack Kent Cooke Young Artists you’ll meet are a 15-year-old harpist who spends her days communing with nature, and a teenage clarinetist whose mom wins our “Mother of the Year” award. Plus, we’ll reacquaint you with some From the Top alumni, who’ll talk about where music has taken them since appearing on our show and receiving this scholarship.
