Meet Christine

Christine performed in the From the Top Band’s “Feel the Light” music video, recorded in April 2015.

2015 bio:

Since she started playing the violin at the age of 6, Christine Hong has studied with Amy Sims, Silvian Iticovici, Judith Lee, Malcolm Lowe, and is presently studying with Lynn Chang. She enjoys playing orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire, and is currently Concertmaster of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. In 2015, she won the New England Conservatory Preparatory School’s Concerto Competition in Category D, and performed with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. She also placed 1st in the Boston Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition and will be performing the Sibelius Violin Concerto with them in the 2016 season. Christine is currently a senior at the Noble & Greenough School. She plans to attend Harvard University in the fall.
