Daily Joy: Beautiful Italian Aria
Over the years, opera lovers have found a home at From the Top thanks to some very talented young singers.
For today’s Daily Joy, we’re sharing a beautiful performance of an aria by Benedetto Marcello performed by 17-year-old soprano Annabel Parker. She’s joined by pianist and FTT Co-Host/Creative, Orli Shaham.
Annabel Parker (soprano) 17, from Rockport, Maine is a senior at Camden Hills Regional High School. She studies voice with Kathryn DerMarderosian and piano with Jim Nga at Bay Chamber Music School. She earned the Ezra Rachlin Prize of Excellence at the Young Stars of Maine Program through Bay Chamber Concerts and Music School. She is a five-time winner of Maine’s National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition. She also portrayed Mary Poppins in her school musical this fall. Her other interests include art, debate, and history.
