From Armstrong Concert Hall at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, this week’s From the Top features outstanding musicians from 12 to 18, including a young guitarist from Stafford, Virginia performing a spicy piece of Spanish guitar music and a playful teenage chamber ensemble from the Washington, D. C. area playing Brahms. Also, a 12-year-old violinist/advice columnist tries to rescue the personal life of a certain member of the From the Top cast.

The Columbia Clarinet Quintet (clarinetist Giancarlo Garcia, 17; violinist Rachelle Hunt, 18; cellist Lauren Hunt, 15; violinist Emily Barkakati, 18; and violist Miranda Blakeslee, 18) from Washington, DC, performs Clarinet Quintet in B Minor, Op. 115 by Johannes Brahms

Soprano Grace Ann Field,from Austin, TX, performs “Gia il sole dal Gange” by Alessandro Scarlatti

Violinist Caeli Smith, 12, from Philadelphia, PA, performs “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” from Orpheo and Euridice by Christoph Willibald Gluck
