Meet Traumerei Clarinet Quintet

Traumerei Clarinet Quintet performs on Show 408.

Traumerei Clarinet Quintet from New Jersey is comprised of Cadee Lee, 16, from Cresskill; Sunny Rhew, 16, from Ridgewood; Christian Lee, 18, from Tenafly; Jacob Cho, 17, from Wayne; and Dongkon Lee, 16, from Leonia. The quintet has been playing together for four years at New York Youth Symphony Chamber Music Program in New York City, coached by Seungho Choi. Cadee and Christian are currently students at Juilliard Pre-College, Dongkon is a student at Manhattan School of Music Precollege, Sunny is a clarinetist at Camerata Youth Orchestra in New Jersey, and Jacob is a bass clarinetist at New York Youth Symphony. They toured seven cities in Spain, including Seville and Madrid, in the summer of 2019 as part of the New York Youth Symphony Spain Tour. They are Silver Medal winners at the National Fischoff Chamber Music Competition in 2020 and are winners at CAI Ensemble Competition. They attended masterclasses taught by Charles Neidich, Anthony McGill, and Toyin Spellman-Diaz, and have performed at Carnegie Hall, DiMenna Center, National Arts Club, and Harlem School of the Arts in New York City.
