Meet Jacob

Jacob Peery (saxophone), 17, hails from Elizabethtown, Kentucky and is a recipient of From the Top’s Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. He is currently remotely finishing his senior year at Interlochen Arts Academy, studying with Matthew Schlomer. At Interlochen, Jacob held the distinction of playing in both the school’s highest wind ensemble and symphony orchestra. Among his accomplishments are an honorable mention in the Michigan Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Solo Competition, membership in the University of Kentucky Honors Band, membership in the Kentucy All-State Band, and numerous performances both with orchestra and on the radio. He attended Interlochen Arts Camp in 2018 and 2019, where he was the recipient of a Fennell scholarship.
