Meet Ethan

Ethan performs on Show 409.

Ethan Yang (violin), 17, is a junior at Diamond Bar High School in California. He began learning the violin at the age of 8 and currently studies with Linda Rose. Ethan has participated and placed in many competitions, most notably being selected as the Grand Prize winner of the 2020 Phoenix Symphony Guild Young Musicians Competition, the 1st prize winner of the 2018 Orchestral Instruments Youth Competition sponsored by the Chandler Symphony Orchestra, and the 1st prize winner in the 2018 Arizona Musicfest Young Musicians Competition. As a result, Ethan had the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Phoenix Symphony (2020), the Chandler Symphony Orchestra (2018), and recently has been invited to perform with the Verde Valley Sinfonietta (2021). Outside of his music studies, Ethan enjoys listening to a wide variety of music from different genres and playing and watching basketball.
