Annie Wu (flute), 16, Pleasanton, California, attends Foothills High School. A student of Isabelle Chapuis, Annie won first place at the 2011 National Flute Association High School Soloist competition where she also received the award for Best Performance of a Newly Commissioned Work, ÒThree Beats for Beatbox Flute.Ó In addition to her musical pursuits, she enjoys painting, drawing, and photography.
