About

We’re in Philadelphia celebrating the city’s vibrant classical music scene with co-host Joseph Conyers, Philadelphia Orchestra’s principal bassist and Founder of Project 440, a music and leadership program for teens.

We meet a local teen composer who aspires to create more opportunities for fellow Black composers. We also hear a young violinist perform a phenomenal work by contemporary composer Jesse Montgomery. A talented flutist from Colorado performs Widor with hosts Peter Dugan and Joseph Conyers, a teen harpist talks about why she chose her instrument, and a 12-year-old guitarist gives a fiery performance of Roland Dyens.
