Daily Joy: 15-year-old plays “Scottish Fantasy”

For today’s Daily Joy, she is sharing a heartfelt performance of one of her favorite melodies from the third movement of Bruch’s “Scottish Fantasy.”
Vibha Janakiraman (violin), 15, is from West Chester, Pennsylvania and is in the tenth grade at the Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School University Scholars Program. She studies violin with Catherine Cho and Francesca dePasquale through The Julliard School pre-college division. Vibha played violin with the Gray Charitable Trust Advanced Scholarship Piano Trio at the Settlement School and has performed as a soloist with several orchestras in the Philadelphia region. She has a deep connection to both Western and South Indian classical music and also enjoys studying math and Sanskrit.
