From Sinclair Auditorium at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, this week’s show, part of From the Top and Orchestra Iowa’s multi-year residency “Iowa Makes Music”, includes a nationally renowned teenage mandolin player playing Vittorio Monti’s Czardas, a teenage string quartet from the Chicago area playing Shostakovich, and an 18-year-old bass from nearby Cedar Falls singing Handel.
