We’re in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania this week, featuring young musicians who are up to remarkable things beyond playing classical music. You’ll meet a 14-year-old pianist who has appeared in a major feature film, a teenage flutist who’s recorded with one of the world’s greatest jazz musicians and a From the Top alum who’s started a new urban orchestra training program in nearby Philadelphia. You’ll also meet an oustanding 11-year-old guitarist and hear the world-famous American Boy Choir.

Cellist Ben Solomonow, 14, from Evanston, IL, performs Variations on a Paganini Theme by Gregor Piatigorsky

Guitarist Thomas Pfefer, 11, from Bethlehem, PA, performs “Julia Florida” by Agustin Barrios

American Boychoir, ages 9–13, from Princeton, NJ, performs Agnus Dei from Messe Basse by Gabriel Faure and the traditional “Music Down in My Soul”, arranged by Moses Hogan. Conducted by Fernando Malvar-Ruiz and accompanied by Kerry Heimann.
