This week, from the Rhodes Arts Center at the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, our line-up of outstanding performers includes a 14-year-old violinist from Connecticut playing a virtuosic set of variations on “Yankee Doodle”, a passionate 16-year-old cellist from New York playing Saint-Saëns, and a female choral ensemble from Northfield Mount Hermon School.

Violinist Sirena Huang, 14, from South Windsor, CT, performs Souvenir d’Amerique (Variations on “Yankee Doodle”), Op. 17 by Henri

Pianist and Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Allen Yu, 15 from Cohoes, NY, performs I. Allegro from Sonata No. 10 in C major, K. 330 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Cellist Julian Langford, 16, from New York, NY, performs Allegro Appassionato, Op. 43 by Camille Saint-Saëns

Trumpeter Daniel Taubenheim, 17, from Lake Bluff, IL, performs I. Mit Kraft from Sonata by Paul Hindemith

Northfield Mount Hermon Select Women’s Ensemble (20 members ages 15-18) perform “Had I the Heavens’ Embroidered Cloths” based on a poem by William Butler Yeats by Michael Cleveland
