Talks From the Top
Introducing Talks From the Top!
Conversations about artist life and navigating a career in music
A project of From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab
We’re pleased to launch Talks From the Top, a new video series featuring highlights from From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab.
From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab Fellowship is a four-week online program for pre-collegiate musicians exploring what it means to be an artist in today’s world. Fellows discover career opportunities in the arts, learn about audio production and community engagement, and develop a community with peer and professional mentors. The Fellowship culminates in recording for From the Top’s broadcast/podcast and social media.
Guest Artists join the Fellowship program through a series of conversations called Artist Life. Over the years, our esteemed guests have shared many personal insights with From the Top Fellows. We are excited to bring their sage advice to a larger audience of young people.
Watch our first video about how to make the most out of a college music degree program. Please share with a young person who is considering their future in music!
This series is made possible by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, the Howard and Geraldine Polinger Family Foundation, The Volgenau Foundation, The National Endowment for the Arts, the Mass Cultural Council and generous individuals like you.
