Soprano Alum Receives Great Review for “Rigoletto” Performance
We recently heard that the South Florida Classical Review gave alum Nadine Sierra a glowing review for her performance with the Florida Grand Opera, saying she brings a “gleaming voice” to her role in Rigoletto. Nadine, who first appeared on Show 095 in Atlanta, Georgia at 15 and again on Show 213 in Burlington, Vermont, performs the role of Rigoletto’s daughter.
Since her win at the Metropolitan Opera Contest, a whirlwind experience chronicled in the book Driven, Nadine has performed in several professional productions. This past September, she played Juliet in San Francisco Opera’s Heart of a Soldier and last spring she appeared with the Boston Lyric Opera.
Nadine is still in her second year as an Adler fellow at the San Francisco Opera and has a lot of promising events in her future. In June, she will pay Papagena in San Francisco Opera’s performance of The Magic Flute. And in May the excitement will rise with her solo recital debut in Carnegie Hall!
We hope Nadine has stellar performances for the rest of this opera season and stuns the crowd in Carnegie Hall!
