About

This week on From the Top, we meet two delightful Norwegian sisters who serenade us not only on their classical violins, but also on their Norwegian folk fiddles.

We try to bottle the energy of a 16-year-old flutist, and we present our special feature “Kids Who’ve Grown Up Seeing Moose” which includes a fantastic line-up of rural kid classical musicians.

Performers and Repertoire:

Flutist Martha Cargo, 16, from Columbia, MD, performs Sonatina, 3rd mvt. by Eldin Burton

Pianist Jenna Delisle, 14, from Parrotsville, TN, performs Rhapsody in C, Op. 11, No. 3 by Ernö Dohnányi

Marimba player Patrick Walz, 16, from Baldwinsville, NY, performs Rhythm Song by Paul Smadbeck

Pianist Christopher O’Riley performs “Everything in its Right Place” by Radiohead, arranged by O’Riley
