Meet Stephen

Stephen Waarts appeared on Show 207, recorded in December 2009, at age 13.

Program bio from Show 207:

Stephen Waarts (violin), 13, is an eighth grader at the School for Independent Learners in Los Altos and a violin student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division. He began his violin studies at age 5 and piano studies at age 8. Stephen is the winner of the 2009 KDFC 102.1 FM Star Search Competition. He has participated in Music@Menlo for several years and frequently solos with orchestras around the country. When he’s not playing the violin, Stephen enjoys painting and traveling.
