Meet Rubi
Rubi performs on Show 413.
Rubi Lee (violin), 14, from Irvine, California, is a ninth grader at Arnold O. Beckman High School. Rubi is a member of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, and she studies music at the Violin Studio with teachers Yuki Mori and MinJung Park. Rubi has received prizes in numerous competitions, including winning first place at the American Protégé International Concerto Competition, first place at the Pacific Musical Society & Foundation Competition, and the grand prize in the Satori Strings Grand Prize Contest. Most recently, she won first prize in the Concerto Competition of California Association of Professional Music Teachers. She will be the soloist this fall in a performance with the Orange County Orchestra Collective this coming season. When she is not playing music, Rubi enjoys running and art.
