Megan Yip (cello), 17, is from Portland, Oregon. She currently lives in Natick, Massachusetts, where she attends the Walnut Hills School for the Arts. She studies with Mark Churchill. Megan is a member of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. She has previously been principal cellist of the Oregon All-State Orchestra and the Portland Youth Philharmonic. She has attended the Colorado College Summer Music Festival, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the International Institute for Young Musicians. Outside of music, Megan enjoys running and traveling.
