The Quartet Polaris is comprised of violinists Andrea Jarrett (17, Saline, MI) and Vince Meklis (16, Orland Park, IL), violist Matthew Lipman (16, University Park, IL), and cellist Gabriel Cabezas (16, Wilmette, IL). Coached by Hans Jensen at the Music Institute of Chicago, the quartet won the junior division of the 2008 Fischoff Competition. Both Matt and Gabe have previously appeared on From the Top as soloists.
