Justinas performs on Show 439.

Justinas Zlabys (composer), 18, is also a violist and jazz pianist who began his musical studies at Music Haven, a non profit organization based in New Haven, and continued his education at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. his teachers included Daniel Getz, Dr. William Cooper, David Zoffer, and Robyn Bollinger. He is currently pursuing a Bachelors at the Juilliard School with Dr. Melinda Wagner.

Justinas has earned first place in the the MusicTeacherGifts Youth Composition Competition, as well as in the MSMU High School Competition. He will be attending the 2024 YoungArts week as a finalist for composition. He has earned an honorable mention in the Tribeca Young Composers Competition, and the International Composition Competition of the Vienna Music Academy, and was a semi-finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Composers Awards.

As a violist, and avid chamber musician, Justinas has spent his summers at many music programs including; The Perlman Music Program, BUTI String Quartet workshop, ENCORE String Academy, YOLA National Festival.

Justinas plays on a 1923 Mario Gudda viola on loan from Colin Maki Inc.
