Pianist Jung-A Bang has appeared in prestigious concert halls across the world as a soloist and collaborative artist. As an active chamber musician, Jung-A has spent summers at the Perlman Music Program and Banff Chamber Music Residency Program with her duo, l’étoile, and performed at the Kennedy Center and in Music for Food benefits in Boston with her piano trio, Vi trio. Highly demanded as a collaborative pianist, Ms.Bang has served as staff collaborative pianist at the Banff International Music Program and the Aspen Music Festival as well as major music schools including the Juilliard School and New England Conservatory. A native of South Korea, Jung-A is a 2007 graduate of Walnut Hill School for the Arts. She holds her Bachelor’s degree in piano at New England Conservatory under Patricia Zander and Hung-Kuan Chen, and Master’s degree in collaborative piano at the Juilliard School as a recipient of Marie Dring Scholarship and Harold & Helene Schonberg Piano Scholarship. Ms. Bang is a DMA candidate in Collaborative Piano at New England Conservatory. She is a faculty member of Walnut Hill School for the Arts and Affiliate Artist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
