Meet June
June performs on Show 471.
June Eickholt (tuba), 18, is from the Dallas area and currently attends Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where she studies with Mr. Tom Riccobono. During her time at Interlochen, she has performed with the orchestra, wind symphony, and various brass quintets. In the summer of 2024, June had the honor of performing with Carnegie Hall’s NYO2, participating in Carnegie Hall’s World Orchestra Week and performing in concerts at both Carnegie Hall and the Meyerson Symphony Center under the baton of maestro Teddy Abrams. During her time in Texas, she participated in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra’s Wind Symphony, and has recieved additional mentorship from professor Don Little, Ed Jones, and Elizabeth Speltz.
Outside of music, June is president of the Interlochen Best Buddies chapter and enjoys going for runs and walks with friends. She loves learning and hopes to take environmental science or physics courses in addition to hopes of pursuing a degree in tuba performance.
