Meet Joshua

Joshua Owens (oboe), 18, is from Austin, Texas, where he is a student at Bowie High School and a member of the Austin Youth Orchestra. Currently, he is studying with Dr. Andrew Parker, oboe faculty at the University of Texas at Austin. His favorite musical experience was performing with the 6A Texas All-State Symphonic Band as principal oboist. Prior to picking up the oboe, Joshua was a world-class junior knife thrower and competed regularly, winning three junior world championships. Other interests include trivia, baseball, and government/politics.
