J.T. Hassell (piano), 18, is from Amarillo, Texas, but currently attends the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, where he studies with Michael Coonrod. J.T. has won concerto competitions with the Amarillo Symphony, the Texas State International Piano Festival, and the Interlochen Academy Orchestra. He has attended the Brevard Music Center and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Outside of music, J.T. enjoys reading and making the most of Michigan winters by having snowball fights and building snowmen.
