Meet Izabella
Izabella performs on Show 420.
Izabella (Izzy) Tu (harp), 17, hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, and is a senior at the Meadows School. She studies harp under the tutelage of Kimberly Glennie, principal harpist of Las Vegas Philharmonics. Izzy has been the principal harpist for Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra for the past four years. Recently, Izzy performed at the Smith Center in Las Vegas, duetting “Fluffy’s Harp” by John Williams. Izzy also serves as the harpist for UNLV Wind Orchestra and played with the UNLV Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with members of the LV Philharmonics and the LV Academy last year. Izzy not only plays harp; she also plays piano, Chinese harp (guzheng), ukulele, the kalimba, and the ocarina, and she has won numerous awards in local, regional, and international competitions.
In addition to music, Izzy excels at visual arts and 2D animation. She also enjoys watching anime, reading manga, playing video games, practicing fencing, and eating (especially noodles). In the future, Izzy aspires to connect art, music, and medicine.
