Meet Ian

Ian appeared in From the Top’s cover of “Stressed Out” (March 2017), performed in collaboration with PROJECT Trio.

Ian also performed on Show 334 in Boston, MA on March 12, 2017.

Ian Maloney (cello), 12, is from Hackensack, New Jersey and is in the 7th grade at the Elisabeth Morrow School. He has been playing cello since he was three and studies with Madeleine Golz at The Manhattan School of Music. He is a winner of both national and international competitions and has been a featured soloist with numerous orchestras. During the summer Ian has attended Music@Menlo and Greenwood Music Camp. He loves chamber music and plays piano and trumpet. Outside of music, Ian enjoys baseball statistics, reading, and playing tennis.
