Meet Fletcher

Fletcher performs on Show 480.

Fletcher Wilson (trombone), 18, hails from Bartlett, Tennessee, and is in his senior year at Bartlett High School. A passionate and accomplished musician, Fletcher has been a member of the prestigious Tennessee All-West Band since the 6th grade and is concluding his third consecutive year with the Tennessee All-State Band.

In 2025, he was honored with the Frederick Fennell Full Tuition Scholarship to the renowned Interlochen Arts Camp, where he was principal trombone with the World Youth Wind Symphony. Fletcher was also selected for the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts in 2024, and he currently serves as both a soloist and section leader in the nationally ranked Bartlett High School Marching Band. His musical achievements extend beyond school bands, having attended the Summer at the Scheidt Band Camp at the University of Memphis, where he received the Outstanding Brass Award, and the St. Olaf College Summer National Music Academy, where he served as principal trombone in both the band and orchestra.

Fletcher is a former lacrosse player, a member of the Mu Alpha Theta math honors society, Beta Club, National Honor Society, and part of the Honors Program at Bartlett High School.

Since Fall 2022, he has been an active participant in the Memphis Youth Symphony Program. Fletcher studies trombone under Dr. Martin McCain at the University of Memphis and aspires to pursue a career as a professional musician in a symphony orchestra.
