Elizabeth Basoff-Darskaia appeared on Show 168, recorded in October 2007, at age 13.

Elisabeth Basoff-Darskaia (violin), 13, is a recipient of From the Top’s $10,000 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. Elisabeth says she has loved the “sound and body of the violin” since she was 3-years-old. As a soloist, she has been featured at the International Music Festival in Moscow and the Nyack Music Festival in New York. She has also performed with the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra at the Kremlin in Moscow. She has studied at the Central Music School in Moscow, and the Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Elisabeth lives in Philadelphia with her mother, a composer and pianist.

Elizabeth is a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist.
