Cooper Olsen (violin),  18, resides in Bloomington, Indiana, and recently graduated from Bloomington High School North. Beginning studies with his mother, Toshie Onai, at the age of five, Cooper currently studies violin with Professor Mimi Zweig at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music String Academy, and starting in the fall, will study with Miriam Fried at New England Conservatory. Cooper has won prizes in the Maurer Young Artists Competition, the Chicago International Violin Competition, and the MTNA Competition, East Central Division. Cooper has played in chamber music ensembles and performed solos with several orchestras in Indiana including the Carmel, Muncie, Bloomington, and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestras. Outside of music, Cooper enjoys collecting and repairing older Apple devices, studying IT and web development, and listening to a wide variety of musical genres, including but not limited to Taylor Swift and the musical Hamilton.
