Meet Isabel and Daniel

Isabel and Daniel performed on Show 382 in Boston on February 6, 2020.

Isabel Chin Garita (violin), 16, and Daniel Chin Garita (violin), 14, live in Windham, New Hampshire. Isabel is a sophomore at Phillips Andover Academy. She studies violin with Magdalena Richter New England Conservatory Preparatory Program. She was selected to be part of the Boston BEAM program, a region-wide collective for supporting and sustaining musical excellence among young musicians of underrepresented populations who aspire to careers in classical music. Isabel has performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra. She loves reading, poetry, and swimming. Daniel is in eighth grade at Windham Middle School. He studies with Jin-Kyung Joen at New England Conservatory Preparatory Program. He was also selected to be part of the Boston BEAM program. His proudest musical achievement to-date has been winning the Costa Rica Young Soloist Competition in 2019. Daniel also loves soccer, basketball, Latin and Spanish music.
