Carolina Bragg (composer), 18, hails from Brookline Massachusetts and is in her senior year at Milton Academy. She has composed more than fifteen original works, including two professional commissions: one for San Francisco-based Friction Quartet and the other a co-commission by chamber ensemble A Far Cry and Milton Academy. Carolina wrote her string quartet Paradise Lost: This Pendant World when she was the Patrina Foundation fellow in the 2017-2018 Luna Composition Lab through Kaufman Music Center. Her mentors include Alla Cohen, Paola Prestini, and Reena Esmail. Also a cellist, Carolina studies cello with Eugene Kim through New England Conservatory of Music Preparatory School and plays cello in the top ensemble of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. Outside of music, Carolina enjoys theater, literature, and creative writing.
