Campbell performs on Show 444.

Campbell Stewart (percussion), 17, hails from Tucson, Arizona, and is a senior at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Campbell has played percussion for nine years, studying under Dr. Trevor Barroero, the Principal Percussionist of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Campbell is the Principal Percussionist of the Tucson Philharmonia Youth Orchestra and participates in All-State, Regional, and PRCA Bands. Over the past year, Campbell has been honored to receive the following awards: First Place in the Civic Orchestra of Tucson’s Young Artists’ Competition, Gold Medal in the Tucson Philharmonia Scholarship Competition, Second Place in Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra’s Dorothy Vanek Concerto Competition and Finalist in Brevard Music Institute’s Jan and Beattie Concerto Competition. Campbell performed last summer with the National Youth Orchestra at Carnegie Hall in New York and at the Gran Teatro Del Cibao in the Dominican Republic. After high school, he hopes to study classical music performance at a conservatory and play in a professional orchestra.
