Meet Arcturus Saxophone Quartet

Arcturus Saxophone Quartet performs on Show 477.

Arcturus Saxophone Quartet, ages 18–19 from Frisco, Texas, is comprised of Darshan Senthil Kumar (soprano saxophone), Alex Walker (alto saxophone), Sahishnu Sathish (tenor saxophone), and Stephen Choy (baritone saxophone). Individually, members have earned top places in the Texas Music Educators’ Association All-Region and All-State Bands and Orchestras, as well as the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. This past year, Arcturus has won the silver medal in the twelfth Annual Coltman Chamber Music Competition in Austin, Texas and the gold medal in the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in South Bend, Indiana. Arcturus is coached by Dr. William Chien.
