Antonio Urrutia (oboe), 18, is from Miami, Florida, where he attends Ransom Everglades School. He studies with Rachel Lueck. Antonio performs in the Greater Miami Youth Symphony, the Miami Chamber Orchestra, the Miami Music Project Youth Orchestra, and the Ransom Everglades Symphonic Band. He performed with the New World Symphony in their side-by-side concert, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas. This summer Antonio will be a member of the Tanglewood Young Artists Orchestra. He has received a full scholarship to attend the University of Miami Frost School of Music as a Stamps Music Scholar and a member of the Stamps Woodwind Quintet. Outside of music, Antonio enjoys art history, visual arts, and the outdoors.
