Annie Jacobs-Perkins appeared on Show 284, recorded in March 2014, at age 16.

Annie Jacobs-Perkins (cello), 16, is from Pittsford, New York, where she attends Pittsford Mendon High School. She studies cello with Kathy Kemp of the Hochstein School of Music and Dance. She is the winner of the Jo Amish Concerto Competition, the Doreen B. Hertzog Concerto Competition, and the Genesee Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. Annie has attended the Heifetz International Music Institute and the Interlochen Arts Camp. She performs as principal cellist of the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Outside of music, Annie enjoys cooking, particularly experimenting with new recipes.
