Meet Alette

Alette appears on Show 454.

Alette Williams (violin), 14, lives in Southlake, Texas where she recently began studying with Professor Julia Bushkova of the University of North Texas.

Over the past several years Alette has loved participating in several concerto competitions. In 2020 she won first prize at the Boston Youth Symphony Repertory Orchestra Concerto Competition. Alette was awarded alternate in 2022 and 2023 at the MTNA competition.  In 2023 she placed 2nd at the Collin County Young Artist Competition and honorable mention in the Sphinx competition. In March of 2024, Alette will perform with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra after having won first prize at the GDYO Concerto Competition.

Outside of violin, Alette enjoys pursuing physical challenges such as cross training, conquering obstacles at the American ninja warrior gym, climbing, stretching, and stunting.  Recently, she has also begun competing in speech and debate tournaments.
